Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing, or using the MediBox mobile app ("MediBox", "the App", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of your household, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
2. Description of the service
MediBox is a personal organizer app that helps you track medicines and supplements you own — including names, quantities, expiry dates, storage locations, dosing history, and reminders — and optionally share that information with members of a household you create or join. Some features (such as barcode scanning and AI-assisted categorization or recommendations) rely on third-party data sources described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Medical disclaimer
This disclaimer is also shown to you in the app at sign-up. Any medicine information, categorization, or recommendation shown in the App (including AI-assisted suggestions) is provided for convenience only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Reminders are a convenience feature and not a guaranteed medical alert system — do not rely on MediBox as your sole means of managing critical medication schedules.
4. Accounts & your responsibilities
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account, including data added by anyone you invite into your household.
- You must provide accurate information about the medicines you log; MediBox cannot verify the accuracy of what you enter.
- You must be legally permitted to use the App in your jurisdiction and, per our Privacy Policy, must not be a child under the minimum age described there.
- Notify us promptly at support@medibox-app.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
5. Household sharing
If you create or join a household, other members may be able to view and edit shared cabinet data. You are responsible for who you invite. Removing yourself from, or deleting, a household does not retroactively undo actions other members already took while you were a member.
6. Subscriptions & billing (MediBox Pro)
- MediBox offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("MediBox Pro") that unlocks additional features.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed entirely through Google Play Billing. Pricing, billing cycle, renewal, and refund handling are governed by Google Play's own terms and payment methods on file with Google.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
- To cancel, manage your subscription in the Google Play Store app (Menu → Subscriptions), not in MediBox directly.
- We use RevenueCat to synchronize your subscription status with your MediBox account; this does not change Google Play's billing relationship with you.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play according to its own refund policy; we do not process payments or refunds directly.
- We may change what is included in MediBox Pro going forward, with reasonable notice for material reductions in previously-paid features.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to access another user's account or household without authorization.
- Submit false, misleading, or malicious data to the shared barcode/product lookup database.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App's backend services, rate limits, or security controls.
- Use the App to store or transmit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes another person's rights.
8. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services (including Supabase, Resend, RevenueCat, Google Play, and barcode/product lookup and AI providers) described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of those third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information (including barcode lookups, AI-assisted categorization, or recommendations) is accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MediBox and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, health outcomes, or other harm arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including reliance on reminders, medicine information, or recommendations shown in the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account and data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law, with notice where reasonably practicable.
12. Changes to the App or these Terms
We may modify the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Ukraine.
